A few days ago we talked about the type of business builders or leads for your business. Today for a few minutes let’s discuss who will actually be using your product or service. Here is where I say you can tap into your family and friends if your product is generic enough. When I say generic enough, it is not some nutritional product that helps with a certain type of ailment. If it is suppose to help a certain ailment you would have to talk to family and friends that have those certain ailments.

Let’s talk about a method that you can develop but it will take a little bit of time and education on your part. First you need to decide what people are searching for on the internet. Then you want to create some type of ad to target those people with ailments your product will help. Once you generate traffic, you can start contacting those people that responded to your ad. As I said this will take some time but you want your target market because your product holds the most value to them.

Look out for part 3 which will be called Problems of Networkers – Advertising.

Let’s tackle who to let know about your business. You were probably told to make a list and let’s start contacting them. The main purpose is for creating business partners. How did that work for you? In some cases well, some not so well.

Let’s begin by first defining who we want to talk to and I am talking business builders here and not just product users. How do you determine your target market? You may be asking what a target market is. Your target market should be people seeking to change their lives and who want to be entrepreneurs. Many say they are looking for a home business but most are looking for jobs. Those forms where people fill out online are attracting job seekers and not entrepreneurs and some are not seeking either.

The job seeker is the last person you want to talk to about your business and it is easy to see why. They are looking for a job and income right now; not residual income in the future. You could run across a person that wants to be an entrepreneur in this group but it will be few and far between.

You are looking for someone that has either been in business already, someone who understands network marketing, or someone who is currently in network marketing but may not truly be active. They could be seeking another business as they are no longer interested in promoting what they are currently involved with.

I have given you a lot to think about here and I sincerely hope you take the time to contemplate what has been said. Part 2 of the LEADS piece will come to you in a few days so be on the lookout for Problems of Networkers – Product Users.

One Brick at a Time

Hello,

I was listening to a call and when the speakers said one person at a time, this subject came to mind.    Most of us as networkers look at the big picture.  We are constantly putting pressure on ourselves to sponsor someone.  Learn to relax.  Start small and work towards one goal at a time.  Make it thru the first level of your comp plan and then help others do the same.  You will be amazed at the results.

Let’s use this analogy.  When new construction on a home is taking place there are certain steps that need to happen.  First is the pouring of the foundation.  In network marketing your foundation is the first group of people you sponsor into your business.  If you make sure you have the right people on the foundation your business will be strong.  The same goes for building a home.  The foundation is key to a stable, sturdy house.

Second, you start seeing the framing of the home.  Your network marketing business frame will be the people your foundation(first level people) begin to bring into the business.  If you help them do as you have done and bring in quality people you now have two levels of strong business builders.  This analogy could go on forever but I hope you are getting the picture.

Let’s say you are buidling a brick home.  The brick mason starts with one brick and eventually when all is said and done there are many bricks to complete the final phase of the home.  Building your network marketing business is like building a home.  You have to start from the ground and work your way up.  The construction worker doesn’t start building a home and say I need to be finished in a week.  Most will tell you to build a home it takes anywhere from 4-6 months.  They know this going in so there are not any surprises when it takes that amount of time.  I am not saying building a business will only take 4-6 months but many feel that it should take a lot less.  There is no timeframe on building a quality business so take your time and build it one brick at a time.

Success is within you,

Rodney

P.S. Are you looking to build a strong foundation?
