The Color of Love

Hello,

This is kind of off the beaten path but if you hang in there with me I will tie this together with your network marketing business and it will all make sense.  When I married my lovely wife the colors for the wedding were fuchsia and orange.  Now, let me clear one thing up.  The guys did not have either color for their tux.  I know you are thinking; whew.    Here is what those particular colors represent.  Fuchsia signifies happiness and enthusiasm.  Orange signifies the spreading of joy, optimism, independence and well-being.

Let’s start with fuchsia and happiness and enthusiasm.  Do you remember when you started your business how enthusiastic and happy you were about your decision?  You were going to set the world on fire and change your life.  Some times things don’t always go the way you want them to but you still have to keep that enthusiasm.  If you persist and keep striving towards your goal and eventually achieve it, can you imagine how happy you will be?

Let’s talk a little about orange which I stated earlier signifies the spreading of joy, optimism, independence and well-being.  You have a vehicle in network marketing that can spread the message of joy, optimism, independence and well-being.  You might be asking yourself how.  Network marketing can provide all of these things to the right person.  If someone is looking for a career change and doesn’t want to work a traditional job any more, you can provide them an avenue that there is another way.  That is optimism.   This industry has the ability to produce independence in the form of financial and time.  How would you like to one day not have to worry about money?  How would you like not to have to worry about being somewhere at a specific time because you are on your own time? I would imagine this would create all types of joy in your life and not to mention a state of well-being.

I hope I have tied all the pieces together and this will help you see why just thinking about the two colors of Rodney & Monique can play an important role in your career.

Until next time success is within,

Networkers - Discipline Your Disappointment

I amd  listening to a Jim Rohn cd called Building Your Network Marketing Business and one of his comments was you must learn to discipline your disappointment.  As he was going thru his speach I really had to contemplate for a while to truly gather what he was saying and this is what I came up with.  If anyone has listened to this cd, please be sure and comment or send me and e-mail at rodney@destinyisyours.net because I look forward to your viewpoint and thoughts on this subject matter.

Everything that happens in your networking business should not have an emotion attached to it.  Temper your enthusiasm as well as your frustration.  Everything is not always going to go perfectly in your business.  There will be setbacks that will have you wondering will you ever reach your desired goal.  Unfortunately, this is just the price you pay for being in business.  If everything were roses all the time everyone would be doing what you are doing which is reaching for new heights as an entrepreneur.  You are doing something that many are afraid to do which is take a risk.  High risk equals high reward.  Low risks equal low reward.  Keep your focus whether things are going well or not so well and remember why you became involved with network marketing in the beginning.  There was a goal you set for yourself and don’t stop until you achieve it.  Whenever things get tough; I have heard many in this industry say, “IT IS ALWAYS TO EARLY TO QUIT.”

Success is within you,

Rodney

What Constitutes a Good “Leader”

Since I have talked about a good team and a good follower; I might as well talk about what makes a good leader.  I wrote a post a long time ago about about leadership qualities and pulled some information from Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich.  That is an awesome book by the way.

A leader is a person who influences a group of people towards the achievement of a goal.  A leader goes first and leads by example which inspires others to follow him/her.  The leader must have an unwavering mindset to achieve a goal and in turn his followers will see that and be willing to follow and help achieve that goal.  A good leader also must listen to his/her followers as they have opinions as well.

There is a fine line that a leader must adhere.  You must have a vision, but you also must let your team members be themselves and think outside the box as well.  A happy medium is what you are looking for as you do not want to smother people from using their own ingenuity if it is for the betterment of everyone on the team.

What Constitutes a Good “Follower”

The definition of a follower is one who subscribes to the teachings or methods of another.  I just looked that definition up on the internet because I use the internet as my informational source instead of the old-school Webster’s dictionary.  I can gain access to information much more quickly.

Now let’s discuss what constitutes a good follower.  The definition states one who subscribes to the teaching or methods of another.  That does not mean you have to be a clone but what it says is that you understand what the leader is trying to get across to you.  It doesn’t mean you can’t think for yourself because you have your own mind and opinion.  What it represents is you are willing to go along with what is being taught as long as you see a benefit to the teachings.  Don’t go along with something if you feel it does not coincide with your beliefs, but if you see that it has value, then by all means represent it to the best of your ability.

When you are involved with network marketing, you should be a part of something that is bigger than yourself.  Everyone wants to make money, but you can do that with a normal job.  What makes network marketing different than most business models in the world today is that you have the ability to affect so many lives and hopefully for the better if you are surrounded by a good team with a quality leader and a good follower.  The good “follower” will someday become a quality leader and start the process all over again if they are taught by a quality leader.

Until next time success is within you,

What Constitutes a Good “Team”

This has been on my mind for a while and today I am going to tackle this subject head on.  Sometimes it is hard for me to put my thoughts on paper and this subject has my brain on overload.

Here we go.  A good team consists of leaders and followers.  In order to be a good leader you first must be a good follower.  In referral marketing, leadership is a key to becoming successful.  Most people do not come in to this business as a leader so you must develop those skills.   If you are trying to learn those skills that will translate you to a leader then find you a good leader and try to emulate him/her as much as possible.

The ultimate goal of a good team is this.  The common good of everyone and not just an individual or two is a must.  Everyone on the team should be willing to sacrifice individual goals if it will help every person achieve the greater goal.

Until next time success is within you,
